Meeting of Sheralizoda Bahadur with Mrs. Dina Saleh under the framework of the 27th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change

Within the framework of the 27th Conference of the Parties on climate change in the city of Sharm-El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizoda Bahodur met with the Regional Director of the Middle East, North Africa and Europe of the International Fund for Agricultural Development Mrs. Dina Saleh in the pavilion of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Within the framework of this meeting, Mr. Sheralizoda Bahodur expressed his satisfaction to Mrs. Dina Saleh on bilateral cooperation in the development of projects on adaptation to climate change, including noting that this fund and the Committee during 2021-2022 developed and approved a new state investment project with attracting funding from the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the Green Climate Fund and the Global Environment Facility in the field of supporting agriculture, taking into account issues of adaptation to climate change, protecting biodiversity and improving meteorological services.

Mrs. Dina Saleh also expressed satisfaction with the process of cooperation between this fund and the Committee, noting that in order to develop a new additional project in the direction of landscape restoration, biodiversity protection, an international expert will be sent to Tajikistan from November 21 to 26 this year.

Dina Saleh also mentioned the Fund's initiative to develop a new regional project for the Republic of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the direction of adaptation to climate change, which was supported by the Chairman of the Committee.

In order to implement the Nationally Determined Contributions adopted by Tajikistan, the Chairman of the Committee called on the International Fund for Agricultural Development to support the implementation of this document.

At the end of the meeting, the respected Sheralizoda Bahodur invited Dina Saleh to visit the Republic of Tajikistan at any time convenient for her, which Dina Saleh gladly accepted.
