Participation of the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan at the session of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (WG2020-4) in Nairobi, Kenya                                           

Employees of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan take part in the 4th meeting of the Working Group of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (WG2020-4), which takes place from 21 to 26 June 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya

The purpose of this event is to support the Parties to the Convention and other stakeholders in the debates and negotiations at the fourth meeting of the Working Group (WG2020-4), organizing a series of briefings with key technical experts, supported by the Secretariat, on key issues.

The meeting was opened under the chairmanship of the Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity and the forthcoming meeting will focus on the following issues: Monitoring Framework Information; Science briefs on targets, goals and monitoring in support of the post-2020 global biodiversity framework negotiations; GEF-8 Biodiversity Support; GEF-8 Biodiversity Strategy; and Sharm El-Sheikh to Kunming Action Agenda for Nature and People- moving from biodiversity commitments to implementation in the real economy.
