Celebration of the Tirgon Festival in Iram Park, Dushanbe

On June 22, 2025, the Tirgon Festival was celebrated in Iram Park in the city of Dushanbe, featuring the Apricot Festival and the exhibition “Dried Fruits of Tajikistan.” Dozens of high-quality fruit processing products, packaged in containers, were presented to participants. Various types of apricots and apricot-based products — including juices, syrups, dried fruits, and nectars — were offered to residents and guests of the capital.

As is known, Tirgon is one of the four ancient festivals of our ancestors, along with Navruz, Sada, and Mehrgon. It is also considered a festival of farmers.

During the event, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Ziyozoda Sulaimon Rizo, read a congratulatory message from the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, dedicated to the Tirgon holiday.

Active participants of the event were honored with diplomas and certificates of appreciation, including the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Thanks to the direct attention and care of the respected Leader of the Nation, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, and the country's independence, many national holidays have been revived and introduced to the world, demonstrating the ancient and rich culture of the Tajik nation.

The Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and its subordinate structures presented their sectoral achievements at the exhibition — including photographs, illustrations, models, and maps showcasing the beautiful and unique nature of our country, such as lakes, reservoirs, rivers, and glaciers — as well as informational brochures that help highlight the sector’s efforts in environmental protection.
