A NEW SNOW AND AVALANCHE OBSERVATION STATION COMMISSIONED IN NAVOBOD, SHUGHNAN DISTRICT                 

                                          

As part of the working visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, a new snow and avalanche observation station was commissioned in the Navobod jamoat of the Shughnan District.

The station is equipped with modern monitoring equipment and offers extensive capabilities for observing and assessing snow cover and temperature conditions in the region.

This project was implemented with the technical support of the Swiss Cooperation Office and the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat. It contributes to the improvement of meteorological services in the area.

The opening of such an important facility on the eve of the 35th anniversary of State Independence reflects the continuous support for the sector and remote high-mountain regions.
