Action "Beach cleaning" on the Ak-Kurgon channel

                                                                

On the instructions of the Chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Environmental Protection Department of Dushanbe city held an environmental action "Beach Cleanup" on the banks of the Okkurgan canal in Firdavsi district of Dushanbe city with the aim of keeping the banks of rivers, canals and water sources clean and stable.

The purpose of the action is to clean the canals, drains and ditches passing through the boundaries of the localities, and in this direction, explanatory work was carried out with the residents of the area to ensure the cleanliness of the environment and increase the culture of urbanism.

During this event, the Okkurgan canal was cleaned to a length of 205 meters, and 255 m3 of solid municipal waste was removed.

The analysis shows that the promotion of environmental knowledge and attracting the attention of residents to the issues of environmental health, urbanization culture and within the framework of the implementation of the provisions of part 5 of the rules of public order, development and sanitation of the city of Dushanbe, the activities of residents in maintaining the banks of the canal and the cleanliness of villages and neighborhoods have a great contribution plays.
