Action "Syrdarya Beauty of Khujand"

On the initiative of the environmental protection department of Khujand in order to worthily celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Unity and the 30th anniversary of the 16th session of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Tajikistan on both banks of the Syr Darya River a citywide campaign "Syr Darya Beauty of Khujand" was organized.

More than 400 students of Vocational School №44, №56 and residents of local mahallas took part in the action.

Both sides of the river banks were completely cleared of weeds, waste, plastic and polyethylene, etc., resulting in a contribution to the enlightenment and beautification of the Syrdarya River.

It was also emphasized that citizens should understand that in any case, the most important task of mankind is to protect the environment, because every day we breathe fresh air, polluted air is a threat to our health and leads to various diseases.

The Syrdarya River as a tourist destination should always be clean and tidy.
