Carrying out environmental campaigns dedicated to the celebration of World Environment Day in Shahritus district

According to the initiative of the environmental protection sector in the Shahritus district of Khatlon region, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the World Environmental Protection Day (June 5), environmental campaigns “Clean Area”, “Clean Coast” and “Clean Road” were organized and held on the territory of rural jamoats of the Shahritus district. Employees of various enterprises and organizations, as well as the population of the district took an active part in the events.

As part of these activities, the territories of settlements, river banks, canals and roadsides of the district were cleared of waste and shrubs, the collected waste was taken to the official landfill of the district.

Also, in order to agitate and promote an ecological holiday, to inform and increase the level of environmental education of the population, a sense of patriotism of youth and adolescents from the sector, a propaganda banner was prepared and installed at the entrance to the Central Park of Culture and Recreation of the district.

In the future, the environmental protection sector of the Shahritus district will also use all available opportunities to increase the level of environmental awareness of the population and maintain cleanliness and order in the district.
