"Clean Area" campaign in GBAO

The Main Directorate of Environmental Protection in GBAO has done a lot of work to implement the order of the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated January 14, 2022, No. 2 in order to meet national and state holidays with dignity, maintain the cleanliness of streets and alleys and attract citizens to improve the environmental situation in connection with the campaign "Clean Area-2022".

On the part of specialists of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the region, on May 7 of this year, with the participation of 30 employees of departments and institutions, a "Clean Area" campaign was held. Within the framework of this campaign, 1.3 m3 of waste was cleared of various wastes and disposed of on the territory of the Khorog Culture and Recreation Park at a distance of 1 km.

Specialists of the environmental protection sector in the Roshtkala district with the participation of 40 students in the village of Shodi jamoat K. Gadoliev held a "Clean Area" campaign. As part of this campaign, separate sections of the village were cleaned at a distance of 60 m from various types of waste and 3.5 m3 of waste was taken to the landfill.

70 residents took part in the campaign, at a distance of 1.60 km were cleared of all kinds of waste, and 4.8 m3 were taken to a landfill.
