Conducting a sociological survey                 

                                          

In order to determine the level of knowledge of the population on issues of ecology, environmental protection and the level of environmental culture, a sociological survey was conducted. The Center for Additional Education of the Sughd Region was chosen to conduct the survey, where in February 2023, a training seminar was organized and held in the center’s hall with officials of the “Friends of Nature” program of additional education institutions, cities and districts of the region. In order to properly prepare the report “State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Enlightenment of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025”, explanatory and educational work was also carried out to conduct a sociological survey. As a result, a sociological survey was conducted among teachers of additional education centers in the cities and regions of Khujand, Penjikent, Istaravshan, Guliston, Buston, B. Gafurov, Mastchokh, Shakhriston, Asht and Spitamen.

164 people took part in this survey, including 27 women and 137 men. By age from 18 to 35 years old there are a total of 72 people, from 35 to 50 years old there are a total of 92 people.

It should be noted that the sociological survey was organized by posting a questionnaire on social networks, as a result, 16 questionnaires were accepted. Of these, 4 people from the city of Dushanbe, 12 from cities and districts of the Sughd region, as well as 11 women and 5 men took part in the survey.

In addition to the Center for Continuing Education of the region, cooperation continued with the public organization “Youth Group for Environmental Protection” to conduct a sociological survey; in this regard, this organization used social networks.

For 2023, that is, the third year of implementation of the Mid-Term Evaluation Program, only 180 people were covered during the sociological survey.
