A. on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan

               

                                          

Dear colleagues, nature lovers,

Today, the glorious people of Tajikistan celebrate with special solemnity the 29th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the period of the new Tajik statehood, on November 6, 1994, the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted for the first time in a national referendum, and this important date for our people is celebrated annually with pride as gratitude for full independence and freedom.

The Constitution is the most important state document defining the foundations of the structure of the state in political, economic and social terms, which clearly expresses the relationship between the state and people, freedom of speech, conscience and behavior of every citizen. As the supreme law, the Constitution provides the legal basis for the development of society through the adoption of new laws, regulates various social relations and promotes the further development of such relations.

At the 16th fateful session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, the new leadership of the independent state of Tajikistan was elected, headed by a patriot of the Motherland, a free-thinking and just man, respected Emomali Rahmon.

The State power in the person of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan has been revived, conditions have been created for the restoration of civil society institutions, the realization of human rights, freedoms and legitimate interests in society.

Thus, the people and the State of Tajikistan have developed, adopted and are implementing a Constitution recognizing the features of a sovereign, democratic, secular and unified national State, which is the will of the people as an expression of State power and human rights and freedoms enshrined in this basic national document.

Every citizen is obliged to respect and comply with the provisions of the Constitution and the law, because ensuring the rule of law is a sign of a civilized and responsible society, which, in turn, is the most important condition for peace and prosperity in all spheres of society and the state, and a happy life for the inhabitants of the country.

In accordance with the constitutional requirements, every state body, organization and institution, every citizen of the country is obliged to fulfill their duties in order to contribute to improving the level and quality of life of our people.

I am sure that the employees of the Committee and the entire industry will continue to make a worthy contribution to the fulfillment of this sacred state task.
