Consultative workshop on the presentation of the Secretariat on the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution in the Republic of Tajikistan                                                               

On August 5, 2022, a consultative workshop on the presentation of the Secretariat on the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution in the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Hilton Hotel in Dushanbe.

The main purpose of this event, which was initiated by the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the US Agency for International Development in Tajikistan (USAID), is to present a plan for the implementation of a nationally determined contribution with a number of ministries and departments, industry development partners, donor organizations and other stakeholders.

Carrying out activities on the issues under consideration will help identify key partners for the implementation of the national plan for the implementation of the determined contribution in priority sectors, including transport, energy, water management, industry, agriculture, forestry and other industries.

It is worth noting that in March 2019, the Republic of Tajikistan joined the Partnership for a Nationally Determined Contribution.

To this end, in 2021, the Republic of Tajikistan improved the contribution determined at the national level and submitted it to the Secretariat of the UN Convention on Climate Change, which includes decisive actions towards adaptation and reduction of climate impacts, changes to ensure sustainable and effective development, solving environmental and socio-economic problems.

This document includes measures that the republic intends to implement in the period up to 2030.
