Ecological action in the recreation area of Shakhriston district                 

                                          

Within the framework of the Project "Improving environmental literacy", which is being implemented by the public organization "Youth group for environmental protection" in cooperation with the General Directorate of Environmental Protection in the Sughd region, with the involvement of volunteers, youth, students of educational institutions, representatives of institutions and the media for the second time for six months of this year, an environmental campaign is being carried out in recreation areas of cities and districts of the region.

An environmental campaign was organized and carried out on the territory of the Khurramdara State Forestry Institution of the Shahriston district in order to clean the territory from plastic waste during the holiday season.

The action was attended by students and teachers of educational institutions of the cities and districts of Khujand, Boston, Guliston, Shakhriston and B. Gafurov, as well as volunteers, environmentalists, forestry workers, representatives of the regional newspaper "Sughd truth", television of the Sughd region and others, in total about 100 people participated. According to the action program, after the start of the event, the participants were provided with bags and gloves, and only 4 cubic meters of garbage were collected, including plastic and glass containers and plastic bags.

Bags filled with garbage were taken out by forestry trucks. In order to increase the environmental knowledge of young people, a quiz was held on environmental topics, the winners of each type of game and quiz were presented with souvenirs.
