Environmental campaigns in the city of Dushanbe

In order to fulfill the instructions of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe, in cooperation with relevant structures and institutions of health, universities, students of general education institutions and drivers of public transport in the districts of Ismoili Somoni, Sino, Firdavsi and Shohmansur, organized environmental campaigns "Clean Coast" and "Clean Area".

During the campaign, which took place on the canal along the Khofiz Shirozi Avenue of the Ismaili Somoni district, students of the S. Ayni State Pedagogical University of Tajikistan, the Agrarian University of Tajikistan and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan took an active part and cleaned the canal for 150 m, 10 m3 of waste was taken to the official landfill.

This season, with the active participation of public transport drivers, 32 actions were held, a total of 585 participants of the action cleared the area around residential buildings on an area of 3,500 m3, and the distance of 560 meters of the territory of the Chortut Canal was cleared of solid household waste.

In addition, on the banks of the Dushanbe River, the territories of the mahallas of Darvoz, Khosilot, Gulbutta and Yakkachinar, 23 m/district, a campaign "Clean Coast" was held, as a result of which 187 meters of channels and rivers were cleaned and 8 m3 of waste was removed.

The Main Department of Environmental Protection of Dushanbe is taking concrete measures to ensure environmental cleanliness, expansion of landscaping, construction and high-quality implementation of the instructions of the leadership of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
