February 2 - International Day of Wetlands

                                                                

On February 2, 2023, at the Faculty of Biology of the National University of Tajikistan, at the initiative of the National Center for Environmental Action, a scientific and practical seminar was held dedicated to the "International Day of Wetlands". 30 teachers and students of the specified faculty took part in the seminar and got acquainted with the essence of the protection and maintenance of wetlands and the goals of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.

Associate Professor of the Department of Botany Sattorov R.B. spoke and presented and discussed the water and wetlands of Tajikistan, the flora and fauna of wetlands and the importance of these areas for the protection and conservation of biological diversity and the well-being of communities in the face of climate change. Students actively participated in the seminar, asked questions and discussions.
