Final plenary session to consider agenda items, reports of working groups, Adoption of final documents, adoption of the report, closing statement and closing of the meeting

The plenary session was opened by the head of the Working Group and was devoted to reviewing and discussing the final reports of the working groups, adoption of final documents on Digital Sequence Information and final statements.

Parties to the Convention made their proposals and additions to the final documents, including on Digital Sequence Information, which were adopted by the Secretariat and the parties to the Convention.

The parties agreed that the final document of WG2020-4 will be considered and adopted at the next meeting of the Convention on Biological Diversity in Nairobi, Kenya, in June of this year, and then sent for adoption by the Conference of the Parties to the Convention.
