Impact of sand and stone processing plants on the environment                        


According to the information of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe, on behalf of the Executive Body of the State Authority of the city of Dushanbe, a working group consisting of representatives of relevant structures has been established and the activities of relevant sand and gravel extraction enterprises have been studied. During the study of the issue, it turned out that currently 38 enterprises operating on the basis of approved documents are engaged in this activity in the territory of the city of Dushanbe.

At the same time, it became clear that the above-mentioned enterprises have contributed to the improvement and construction of the capital and continue to work with the introduction of modern technologies and good working conditions.

The Department of Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe has strengthened state control in this area and instructed these enterprises to continue working within the requirements of the current legislation.

By order of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in order to ensure sanitation of riverbanks and streams, water sources and prevention of dangerous situations on the riverbed, during 2022, the city held 45 times the campaign "Cleanliness of the coast" within which 7337 km of riverbanks and channels flowing through the city were cleaned.

According to experts, the demand for the products of these enterprises has increased, the number of sand and gravel processing enterprises has also increased compared to previous years.
