Gafurov, a scientific and practical conference was held on the topic "Land resources - the guarantor of food security in Tajikistan", dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, "Twenty years of the study and development of natural, exact and mathematical disciplines in the field of science and education, 2020-2040. " and International Earth Day.

The introductory meeting of the scientific and practical conference was attended by professors and associate professors, teachers, undergraduates and students of the university faculties, including the head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection of the Sughd region Gufronzoda Aziz Gufron and the head of the department of erosion and soil reclamation of the Institute of Soil Science of AICT, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Professor Aminov Sharif Razzokovich.

The scientific-practical conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the University, Professor Saburi Khairullo Mirzozoda, then the head of the Department of Soil Erosion and Melioration of the Institute of Soil Science, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Aminov Sh. spoke on the topic “The spread of soil erosion in Tajikistan and the main measures to combat her”, Abdurahimov S. - Professor of the Department of Natural Geography of Khujand State University named after Academician B. Gafurov, Doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences on the topic "Genesis, assessment, occurrence and distribution of degraded lands in the north of Tajikistan", Sobirov M.S. - Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Nature Protection "Khadzhent State University named after academician B. Gafurov", candidate of agricultural sciences on the topic "Main periods of formation and development of the state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the direction of rational use and protection of land resources."

The scientific and practical conference was held at a high level, contributing to the improvement of academic skills and theoretical knowledge.
