Every year, October 5 is celebrated as the Day of the State Language on the territory of the Republic, which is included in the register of holidays of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Tajik language, as the state language, occupies a fundamental place in the Republic of Tajikistan and enjoys the support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the country, respected Emomali Rahmon, as one of the most important pillars of the country's independence.

In honor of the celebration of the State Language Day, a solemn meeting was held in the meeting room of the Main Department of Environmental Protection of the Sughd region with the participation of the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the city of Khujand Ismatjonov Bakhtiyor and employees of environmental protection bodies. The head of the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the Sughd region, Hakimzoda Abduakhad, after congratulatory words, appreciated the role of the founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, in the development and expansion of the Tajik language and noted that it was thanks to the wise policy of the Head of State that the native language in the period Independence took its historical state place.

Then Ismatjonov B., Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the city of Khujand, spoke about the significance of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the State Language of the Republic of Tajikistan" and the Program for the Development of the State Language for 2020-2030 and the prospects for its development during the period of state independence.

At the end of the solemn meeting, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the city of Khujand for constant and fruitful cooperation between the Main Directorate in holding important political events with government officials and in honor of the 30th anniversary of the XVIth session of the Supreme Council was awarded a Certificate of Merit.
