MAY 15 - INTERNATIONAL CLIMATE PROTECTION DAY

According to scientists, about 760 thunderstorms occur on Earth every hour. Despite widespread belief, thunder comes up from the Ground, not down from the sky, and rain contains vitamin B12. Every year, about 10 million tons of nitrogen causes thunderstorms on earth.

Moist air retains heat better than dry air. Consequently, the air in the humid tropics is warmer than in the dry desert.

The conference, held in Bali in December 2007 by the Government of Indonesia, was attended by representatives of more than 190 countries, observers from intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations and media representatives. On December 15, 2007, the Bali Route Map was adopted to begin negotiations on a new agreement.

The Bali Conference in December was the culmination of the historic twelfth period of climate change negotiations. In the signed international statement, it was proposed to invite world leaders to take measures to develop policies and take measures to empower the commercial and industrial sector with regard to reducing carbon emissions and climate change.

Modern science does not give precise answers about the possibility and timing of abrupt and catastrophic climate changes in the event of a further increase in temperature. However, timely and proactive actions to mitigate the effects of climate change will significantly reduce the costs associated with the adaptation process.

Holding a regional climate conference has become a tradition since 2018 in one of the cities of the Central Asian countries. In 2018, the first climate conference was held in Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan. On May 15, 2023, a number of climate issues were discussed at a round table on the preparations for the 5th Climate Conference of Central Asia in the capital of Tajikistan–Dushanbe, which will be held on May 16 and 17. We express confidence that at the conference experts and specialists will take steps to solve many unresolved climate problems and achieve results.
