Meeting of the CEP Chairman with the delegation of the Russian Federation

On 7 June 2022 Mr. Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan met with Mr. Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation within the framework of the 2nd International High-Level Water Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development", 2018-2028.

As part of this meeting, the parties discussed glacier monitoring and the use of the experience of the Russian Federation to share staff expertise. The issue of specially protected natural areas was at the center of the discussion between the parties.

The issues of information independence on hydrometeorological issues, special forecasting, and environmental monitoring were also discussed.

During the meeting, parties expressed their views on the prospects for cooperation between the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.
