Meeting of the Chairman of the Committee with the delegation of the Asian Development Bank

              

On May 24, 2022, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon, and Ms. Kate Hughes, Senior Specialist on Climate Change of the Asian Development Bank.

During the meeting, the progress of ongoing joint projects was considered. The main priorities of cooperation and the range of national measures taken to mitigate climate change, including in terms of implementation by Tajikistan (NDC) were outlined - Nationally determined contribution. A number of capacity-building activities are planned for each of the 5 main sectors of NDC.

It was also noted that work is being done in other areas of interaction, including the preparation of Tajikistan for the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, which will be held in November this year in Egypt.
