Meeting of the Chairman of the Committee with the Minister of International Development of Canada             

                                          

On August 25, 2023, within the framework of participation in the 7th Assembly of the Global Environment Facility, a meeting was held between Mr. Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Ahmed Hussen, Minister of International Development of Canada.

During this meeting the Chairman of the Committee and Mr. Ahmed Hussen discussed issues of current environmental policy, global initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the water sector and climate change, including holding the International Conference on Glacier Protection in 2025 in Dushanbe and other environmental issues.

We remind that the Assembly of the Global Environment Facility is held every four years, and one of the main issues on the agenda of this Assembly is the ratification of the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF), which will contribute to attracting investments in the field of ecology in developing countries.
