Meeting of the Committee representatives with Mr. Rati Japaridze, Head of the Environmental and Economic Department of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe

                           

On May 10, 2023, representatives of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan met with Mr. Rati Japaridze, Head of the Environmental and Economic Department of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation on the implementation of the Comprehensive State Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Public Education of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025; on the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in Tajikistan and on the activities of the Aarhus Centers; on holding an international meeting of the Aarhus centers in Dushanbe, which is scheduled for October 2023.

Also, Mr. Rati Japaridze expressed his interest in discussing issues on the development of protected areas and ecotourism.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the process of cooperation, noted priority areas for future cooperation.
