Meeting with education workers of Sughd region       

                                                                     

In the hall of the Department of Education of the Sughd region, a meeting was held between representatives of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the region and the NGO "Youth Group for Environmental Protection" / Aarhus Center in Khujand with teachers of ecology and biology of general educational institutions of general secondary education in the city of Khujand, as well as responsible employees of the Office education.

This meeting was organized with the aim of implementing the "State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Education of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025". During the event, a representative of the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the region provided information on the annual results of the program. In particular, it was noted that fruitful cooperation with the public organization led to the implementation of a number of activities, including the publication of 1,500 copies of the text of the Program, 450 copies of the manual "Guidelines for additional environmental education."

1000 copies of the booklet on environmental education were handed to all schools of the region and education departments of cities and districts, as well as additional education centers and other substructures of the regional education department.

The purpose of the event is to expand the activities of educational institutions of the region in the field of education for the implementation of the Program, and at the same time to encourage the use of timely information on the implementation of the action plan for the implementation of the "State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Education of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025".
