Meeting with students to increase theoretical knowledge about the environment                

                                          

The Main Department for Environmental Protection in Sughd region holds meetings with students to raise environmental awareness of young people within the framework of the Action Plan "State Comprehensive Program for the development of environmental education and education of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025".

In order to strengthen theoretical knowledge, acquire professional and practical skills and familiarize with the activities of environmental protection bodies, a meeting was held in the conference hall of the Main Department with students of the 1st and 4th courses in the specialty "Industrial Ecology and rational use of natural resources" of the Polytechnic Institute of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after Academician M. S. Osimi.

During the meeting, a representative of the Department of Environmental Monitoring, Analysis and Information of the Main Directorate presented information on the “State Comprehensive Program for the development of environmental education and education of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021 – 2025”, as well as on issues such as environmental problems, the negative impact of pollution of water resources, atmospheric air, waste management, radiation and global problems in these areas, the current laws and codes of the industry, as well as the structures of environmental protection bodies in the region, state control over environmental protection areas, the main tasks each department and the Main Directorate, on rare flora and fauna, listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tajikistan and others. Teachers and students also spoke on these issues.

At the end of the meeting, a representative of the Main Department for the library of the Department “Ecology of Industry and Rational Use of Natural Resources” of the Polytechnic Institute of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after Academician M.S.Osimi was awarded the Red Book of the Republic of Tajikistan.
