Opening of the Center for Environmental Expertise at the Faculty of Geoecology and Tourism of Babajan Gafurov KHSU                  

                                          

On the basis of Academician Bobodjon Gafurov Khujand State University with the participation of Rector Usmonzod A.I., Head of the Public Relations Department of the Executive Body of the State Authority of the Sughd region Sultoni T., Director of the representative office of the International Secretariat of Water Resources in the Republic of Tajikistan Olive Normand, Head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the Sughd region Gufronzod A.G. and other responsible persons was The Center for Environmental Expertise with a training laboratory at the Faculty of Geoecology and Tourism of the B. KSU has been opened . Gafurova.

As part of the cooperation of teachers of the Department of Ecology and Nature Protection of the Faculty of Geoecology and Tourism with the representation of the International Secretariat of Water Resources in the Republic of Tajikistan, the Center for Environmental Expertise purchased equipment worth about 300 thousand somoni for laboratory studies of drinking water and wastewater, wastewater examination in the field.

The modified equipment consists of a multimeter, a spectrophotometer, an autoclave, scales with a dryer, a stationary refrigerator, a refrigerator for field work, a multifunctional spectrophotometer, a distiller, a set of equipment for bacteriological diagnostics, a set of chemical and biological containers for diagnostics, a complex of chemical reagents, a set of equipment for bacteriological diagnostics, etc.

Such devices allow conducting practical and laboratory classes in the specified center in the subjects "Ecological expertise", "Applied ecology", "Botany with the basics of ecology", "Hydroecology", "Plant Physiology", "Phytopathology", "Soil ecology", "Agricultural ecology", etc. Also, with the specified equipment, it is possible to determine the possibility of diagnosing the chemical, physical, microbiological and bacterial composition of samples of drinking water, household waste, industrial wastewater, measuring noise levels, atmospheric air composition, radiation levels, etc. The center is already conducting practical classes on the program in the amount of 18 hours, laboratory work 24 hours. In addition, a group of researchers from among teachers, undergraduates and students examined more than 140 samples of drinking water and wastewater.
