Operation "Clean Air" is one of the ways to prevent air pollution                        

Operation "Clean Air" is conducted monthly in the cities and districts of Sughd province in order to reduce the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere.

According to the plan provided by Istaravshan Environment Protection sector specialists in cooperation with the staff of ecological police and tourism department of MIA of the Republic of Tajikistan the similar operation was conducted in the central street of Istaravshan to determine the amount of pollutants emissions into the air from motor vehicles by burning fuel (diesel fuel, gasoline and liquefied gas).

During the raid 25 vehicles of different brands were checked. Administrative cases were initiated against the drivers of 3 vehicles for violation of state standards and emission of excessive amounts of pollutants into the atmosphere. A report on this case was drawn up and sent to the State Automobile Inspection of the city for action.
