Regular meeting of the UN Economic Commission for Europe on Education for Sustainable Development

On May 25-26, 2023, the 18th meeting of the Steering Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on Education for Sustainable Development was held in Geneva, Switzerland, which summed up the results of a high-level meeting of representatives of the Ministries of Education and Environmental Protection on October 5, 2022 in Nicosia, where the progress of the implementation of the Strategy of the Organization's Economic Commission for Europe was discussed United Nations Education for Sustainable Development.

In addition, at this meeting, representatives of the parties informed about the implementation of this strategy at the national levels, including quality education and sustainable development, the role of youth, entrepreneurship and innovation and other areas provided for in this document.

The side of the Republic of Tajikistan at this event was represented by the head of the Center for Environmental Information, Propaganda and Computer Programming of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Tilloi Gulrukhsor, who spoke about the achievements of the country in sustainable development, including the adoption and implementation of regulatory - legal acts, sectoral programs and Strategies, improvement of training programs in the field of education, the development of a “green” economy, the implementation of other works taking into account the directions defined by the Strategy of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and further steps in this direction.
