The Committee has taken concrete measures to establish the facts of the destruction of wild animals of Tien Shan bear species by residents of Urmetani village of Ayni district, the video of which was published on Facebook on June 28, 2023, by Radio Ozodi employees. The site of the incident was inspected by the environmental protection authorities of Sughd region, the environmental protection department of Ayni district together with officials of Urmetani district of the state institution "Forestry of Ayni district", and the necessary document was drawn up.

The inspectors responsible for environmental protection discussed the news and established that on June 21, 2023, a wild animal appeared from the traffic circle No. 1 of the State Institution "Forestry of Ayni district" and went to the family of citizen Meliev S. in Urmetan village of Ayni district, at which time Meliev S. and his relatives beat the bear with a stick and reported the incident to local foresters. The foresters contacted a veterinarian to save the bear, but unfortunately, the bear dies before the doctor arrives.
