Round table in the framework of the implementation of the State Program in Istiqlol city            

In the assembly hall of Istiklol Secondary School № 1 in the framework of the implementation of the "State Integrated Program for the development of environmental education and awareness of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025" and within the project "Stakeholder involvement in addressing uranium waste problems in Central Asia, Phase II" a round table was held.

The event was dedicated to the further establishment of the working group to ensure cooperation and coordination of remediation work in Istiqlol.

The round table was attended by representatives of the education system, school principals, teachers of ecology, biology, state language and representatives of the housing and utilities sector related to the provision of drinking water to the population.

Representatives of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the region, the NGO "Youth Group for Environmental Protection", the Aarhus Center in Khujand and the chief editor of the regional newspaper "Sogdiyskaya Pravda" presented on the activities carried out in the framework of the "State Comprehensive Environmental Education and Public Awareness Development Program for the period 2021-2025", the activities of Aarhus center, "Green Patrol" program, as well as on the topic "Independence: yesterday, today, tomorrow - environmental problems and solutions".
