Sayri Guli Lola Festival in Dushanbe           

                                                                

In order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan No. AP-318 dated January 3, 2023 and expand the work on landscaping and creativity, love of nature, increase aesthetic taste, ecological culture and popularization of national traditions, according to the relevant decision of the Mayor of Dushanbe, the "Sayri Guli Lola" Flower Festival will be held.

The festival will be held in two rounds: district and city, which will end in April, and the winners will be presented to the republican commission.

The festival includes five nominations, the winners of which are awarded with Diplomas of the executive power of the city of Dushanbe and cash prizes.

It worth to remind that the main distribution area of the tulip is located on the territory of Tajikistan and there are 24 of its species. In the past, the Tajik people celebrated the annual tulip festival, as a result of which this type of flowers spread to Asia Minor, Turkey, Holland and other countries.

We emphasize that on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2018, a flower contest "Sayri guli Lola" was held on the territory of the republic in order to revive national traditions, promote and popularize the best practices of floriculture, initiatives and enhance the taste of flowers.

Within the framework of the "Sayri guli Lola" festival, 5 million 700 thousand 917 tulips were planted in alleys, cultural parks and in different territories, which ensures landscaping, well-being and freedom of the city.

Actually, the city of Dushanbe is considered one of the pioneers of landscaping, gardening and floriculture in the country, as well as the undisputed winner of the "Sayri guli Lola" competition of the past years.

By constant orders and instructions of the Mayor of Dushanbe, landscaping and greening activities have received a wider coverage, ensuring the cleanliness of the city and neighborhoods, carrying out environmental campaigns "Clean Coast" and "Clean Area".
