Scientific and theoretical conference in Vahdat              

According to the instructions of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Action Plan of the "Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Public Education for 2021-2025" and the work plan of the Environmental Protection Department in Vahdat, a scientific and theoretical conference was held on March 16, 2023 at the State Educational Institution "Medical College of Vahdat" on the topic "The study of glaciers and their protection", dedicated to the declaration of 2025 as the "International Year of Glacier Protection".

At the conference, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Ecology of the National University of Tajikistan Sodikov Hussein Khidiralievich, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Ecology of the Technical College of the Technical University of Tajikistan Sharifov Nematullo, teachers of this college, heads of Departments of Chemistry and Biology for the study of glaciers of the Republic of Tajikistan spoke on the topics of climate change and its impact on glaciers, the role and significance of International the decades "Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028" and "Depletion of the ozone layer and ways to prevent it".

The chief specialist of the Department of Environmental Protection in the city of Vahdat Solihzoda Saidirfon spoke about the protection of glaciers and their importance for the region, about respect for natural resources, contributing to reducing the impact on nature, cleanliness of the terrain and coast, as well as the implementation of the action plan "Comprehensive Program for the development of education and environmental education of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan, for 2021-2025". At the end of the conference, questions and answers were held, students received satisfactory answers to their questions.
