Summing up the results of the competition among media workers of Sughd region on the topic "Glacier of Tajikistan – a source of clean water and the basis for the development of a "green" economy               

                                          

In the meeting room of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Sughd region, the results of a competition among media employees on the topic "Glaciers of Tajikistan – a source of clean water and the basis for the development of a "green" economy" were summed up. During his speech, the head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Sughd region A.G.Gufronzoda noted the role of mass media in the modern era, and also appreciated their significant contribution to improving environmental literacy of the population.

Then O. Karimov, an employee of the Sinamo TV company, was awarded the winners of the competition in the nomination "Sector of Television"; in the nomination "Sector of Media Materials" - the publishing house "Hakikati Sugd", "Sogdiyskaya Pravda", "Tirozi Gombon" and the publishing house of the People's Democratic Party of Maschi district "Narodny Vzglyad" were awarded diplomas and awards by the Press Secretary Mayor of Khujand Mamuri Yusufzod.

The competition was established in order to implement the policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to increase the level of environmental education of the population and to interest journalists in promoting environmental protection, providing assistance in solving environmental issues.
