In the hall of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe, a meeting was held in connection with the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to the Majlisi Oli of the country “On the main directions of the domestic and foreign policy of the Republic”.

The head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe, during his speech, noted that the next Message of the Head of State concerned the main directions of socio-economic development, the spread of infectious diseases, as well as the consequences of climate change for the economies of the world.

The founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, stated with satisfaction that the Republic of Tajikistan was internationally recognized as an initiative country in solving issues related to water and climate. That is why on December 14 of this year, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously decided to declare 2025 the International Year for the Protection of Glaciers, and March 21 as World Glacier Day, which was proposed by Tajikistan.

It is a source of pride and joy that this fifth proposal of Tajikistan was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations and raised the prestige and position of independent Tajikistan in the international arena.

The Head of the Main Department instructed the responsible persons to develop an action plan for the implementation of the instructions of the Message of the Leader of the Nation and to carry out specific work to implement the points indicated in the message.
