On January 9, 2022, under the chairmanship of Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon and with the participation of members of the Board, representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan - The head of the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Mirzodavlat Saburzoda, heads of structural units of the central office and institutions, subordinate bodies of the Committee on the ground summed up the activities of the Committee and its subordinate bodies in 2022 and defined tasks for 2023 at an expanded meeting of the Board of the Committee.

At the meeting of the board, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Qiyomzoda Z. S., made a report on the activities of the Committee and its subordinate bodies in 2022.

In the discussion of the report, the heads of the main environmental protection departments in GBAO Nazaraliev M., in the Sughd region Hakimzoda A., in the Khatlon region Saidzoda I., as well as Sohibov K., Head of the Environmental Protection Department of the Kulyab zone, L. Rahmonzoda, head of the Main Environmental Protection Department in the city of Dushanbe, heads of the State Control Department of the Central the staff of the Committee, the state environmental expertise, the directors of nature reserves and national parks, who reported on the annual activities of their structure.

The Chairman of the Committee, B. A. Sheralizoda, analyzed the activities of industry structures for conducting state control, improving the level of environmental education of the population, the activities of industry inspectors with analysis and comparisons, indicated the causes and factors of existing shortcomings due to the lack of responsibility of individual heads of structures.

It was noted that a competent internal commission was created to activate the activities of state inspectors, and the activities of each state inspector were determined by this commission through standard questionnaires. As a result, a number of acting inspectors were awarded letters of thanks, on the other hand, disciplinary penalties were applied to a number of employees who failed to meet the evaluation indicators.

At an expanded meeting of the board, the winners of the "Best Reader" competition of the Committee were announced, previously announced by the order of the Chairman of the Committee and by the decision of the commission of this competition, the winners were awarded diplomas, certificates of honor and cash prizes.

During the board meeting, a representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan made a statement explaining the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Majlisi Milli of the country on the implementation of the International Decade of Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028", on climate change, in particular on taking the necessary measures to clarify and promote the Resolution of the UN General Assembly on declaring 2025 the "International Year protection of glaciers", in preparation for the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, ensuring high-quality and timely implementation of state programs, instructions and orders of higher authorities, compliance with the requirements of current legislation in the field of environmental protection, on the implementation of environmental conventions, collection and disposal of energy-saving lamps, maintaining cleanliness and order in the environment and other issues related to the activities of the industry.

Based on the results of the discussion of the Committee for Environmental Protection and its structures in 2022 and the tasks for 2023, a corresponding decision was made.
