A final meeting on the activities of the Main Department for the first quarter of 2023 with the participation of Mavlodod Abdukodir, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, was held in the meeting room of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe.

At the beginning, Loik Rahmonzoda, Head of the Environmental Protection Department of Dushanbe, spoke about the work done to improve the ecological condition of the city of Dushanbe, landscaping and greening, holding the "Sayri Guli Lola" festival, increasing awareness and environmental education of the population. It is worth noting that the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan – the city of Dushanbe – is considered the leading site for construction work, landscaping, greening, and significant work is being carried out in these areas.

It was reported that during this period, administrative protocols were drawn up against 660 individuals and officials who violated the law for violating the current legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of environmental protection, and a fine of 84,252 somoni was imposed.

During this period, the campaign "Clean Coast-2023" was held 19 times in the districts of the city of Dushanbe.

Along with the cleaning of the coast from waste, the surroundings of the rivers were cleared of weeds, wild plants, a total of 15275 m/t of the banks of canals and rivers were cleared of garbage.

It should be noted that 41 garbage trucks were mobilized during the campaign, 438.5 m3 of solid household waste was taken from the banks of canals and rivers to the official landfill.

For the cleanliness of streets and avenues, roads and settlements, action plans have been developed and approved by the local authorities of the capital districts and the Environmental Protection Department of the city of Dushanbe. According to this plan, clean-ups are held every week on the territory of microdistricts and mahallas of the capital in order to keep the environment clean and tidy. According to the Management's action plan, during the reporting period, citywide actions were held 11 times in the districts of the city of Dushanbe, involving 1003 pieces of equipment, 1306.9 tons of waste were removed from the territory of microdistricts and mahallas of the city to the official landfill.

At the same time, the campaign "Clean Area" was held 27 times in the mahallas and microdistricts of the capital, in which 18,851 people took part and 423.1 m3 of waste was taken to the official landfill with the involvement of 14 pieces of equipment.

In the city of Dushanbe, at a high level, taking into account agrotechnical requirements, the planting campaign has begun work on landscaping and landscaping. In accordance with the established procedure, it was planned to plant 193,499 ornamental, shady, fruit-bearing trees and shrubs in the districts of the city of Dushanbe, 258,868 trees have been planted to date, which is 133% of the plan. At the same time, 34,671 square meters were planted of lawn and 9,843,661 seasonal and perennial flowers.

On behalf of the management of the Committee, in order to turn the capital into a "green" city with the participation of the Chairman of the Committee and employees of the Environmental Protection Department of Dushanbe, 6,300 pine seedlings were planted in compliance with agrotechnical requirements on the territory of the Victory Park, on the hills of Luchoba, Devdary, the hills of the Obshoron recreation center, Navruzgoh Park.

At the end of the meeting, Mavlodod Abdukodir, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, analyzed the activities of the Main Directorate and environmental protection departments in the districts of the capital, instructed officials to systematically carry out campaigns in the capital "Clean Coast", "Clean Area" and "Clean Road", take measures to raise awareness and environmental education population.
