Urns for collecting plastic containers                 

                                          

In accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and taking into account the increase in plastic waste in the republic at the initiative of the Department of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe on the territory of educational institutions No. 54, No. 92 of the Sino district and No. 8 of the Ismail Somoni district in Dushanbe, mesh bins were installed to collect used plastic utensils.

The purpose of launching such an initiative is, first of all, to maintain a clean environment, as well as to collect and recycle used plastic utensils, because the used plastic utensils are getting larger year by year, littering the territories of cities and regions.

The Main Department of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe decided, together with the leadership of universities, the Department of Education of the city of Dushanbe and the administration of the capital's parks of culture and recreation, to install mesh bins on the territory of these institutions to collect plastic containers.
