On the initiative of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the framework of the implementation of the "Comprehensive state program of ecological education and training of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025". August 5-6, 2022 a group of more than 25 members of eco-journalists visited the State Nature Reserve "Dashti Jum" in Shamsiddin Shohin district of the Khatlon region.

The purpose of organizing such eco-tours is to educate and familiarize media representatives, and members of the Committee's eco-journalists Club, with protected natural areas, nature reserves, and other objects of ecological significance, to familiarize them with rare flora and fauna nearby, to provide accurate and reliable information to the public.

During the trip, club members were given the opportunity to learn more about the area, interact with industry experts and share their impressions of their trips with the public through the media.

On the other hand, members of the Environmental Club got acquainted with the activities of the staff of this reserve, the places where rare animals, including mountain goats or ibex, live.

Members of the Ecological Journalists Club first visited several picturesque places of the reserve, including the field conditions of the employees of the State Nature Reserve "Dashti Jum", and then on their return held another seminar in the yard of the administrative building of the reserve in the rural jamoat of Sarichashma Shamsiddin, Shahin District.

At the beginning of the seminar, the management and other responsible officials of this reserve gave detailed information about the organization, area, and rare flora and fauna of the reserve. Then, staff members from the central office of the Committee and Deputy Director of the State Institution "Specially Protected Natural Areas" of the Committee Saidov Nurali took part in this seminar and gave reliable and concrete information to the members of the club. The other part of the training seminar consisted of questions and answers.

Such environmental tours are conducted by the Committee for Environmental Protection once a month, at the end of which environmental officials provide relevant information in the relevant areas. This initiative contributes to raising the awareness of journalists who publish materials on environmental protection through the media, press, and Internet.
